Headshots: Theatrical vs. Commercial
There are many techniques professional actors use to prepare for scenes and moments on stage or in front of the camera. Dedicated actors have developed their own method of being “in the moment.” These skills can take many years to develop.

If you are just beginning your training as an actor, but want to get experience in front of the camera Chloe will work with you to set up a “commercial” photo shoot. A commercial shoot will give you industry current shots that will enable you to “sit there, look pretty and sell the dish-soap honey.”

The commercial shoot should be your first priority until you have developed a solid base of acting skills and confidence on camera. Then you will be ready for your first theatrical shoot.

Working in front of the camera gets easier with practice, just like it does on stage. But practicing in front of the camera can get expensive in a hurry.

The following pages have been designed to shorten your learning curve and save you money. Take some time to read and prepare the following materials before scheduling your theatrical shoot.

To maximize your session, minimize the “actor-marketing-learning-curve,” and to save you time and money, we require that the following pages be read and completed before you schedule your pre-shoot interview.
