| ........4 days before my 35th birthday..after many years of dreaming of it.... I finally decide to do it before I turn 35 and am no longer eligible. I've enlisted as a crew member on the C-130 Hercules in the Air National Guard. ....It's an aircraft that has been around for over 50 years. It can land on rough airstrips all over the world, and even on an air carrier. There are only 5 crew positions on this legendary aircraft. Pilot, Co-Pilot, Flight Engineer, Navigator and Loadmaster. ........In May 2009 I will begin training as a Loadmaster at Lackland Air Force Base and am eagerly looking forward to this new chapter in my life. ........Coming soon... a look at the view from my new “office" by this time next year!.
