Paying it Forward in Broadcasting
If it's a broadcasting career advice you're after, I hope this can help you get started...but since I'm just getting started with this site...keep checking back. I'll have more answers to FAQ's up soon: Until then..here's a nifty resource if you're just starting out:

www.tvjobs.com

It's $15/year to get access to job openings on this site...but well worth it when you're ready to look for your first job. You also use this site to check out the DMA...(that's the market size). NY is #1 , LA is #2, Missoula, MT is #181 (that's where I started).

Take a good look at that list to see where you might want to start (aim for something over 100...or 150 to be safe!), and get ready to move around the country!

FAQ's: Below you'll find excerpts from some of the most common conversations I've had with aspiring meteorolgists and reporters over the years...Many of these conversations are the same conversations my ever so patient agent has had with me.

I think you'll be amused how much of it ends up being about TV...rather than the work! Dont' believe me? Take a listen to this recording I sent my agent with one of my contracts. ; )

Ode to "TV Agent Man"

Well, of course the work is important, but some times you don't get a chance to do the work until you get all the "on-camera" stuff right. So here's to getting that chance! Hope this helps!

The letters below have all been posted with permission from the smart young ladies who sent them.
Topics you can't click on are coming soon....so keep checking back. = )
